Hello everyone,
For the Nov 12th, 2016 ride in Edinburg we had a total of 20 riders attempt the 200K and 100K routes. The temps were great, light winds but the weather started out nasty. Persistent light rain and muddy roads for the first thirty miles made it tricky, we had to ride a bit slow. Road conditions like that always cause a lot of flats so our riders had plenty of those. Once the rain quit it turned out to be a great day. There were some new riders and many familiar friends that showed up.
There were five riders attempt the 200K and all five finished. Carlos, Tony, Duice, Santos and Rosie. Awesome job! I was very pleased to see that everyone was prepared and had the proper clothing and lighting….thanks!
I also handed out the first edition of RGV Randos pins to all finishers.
Congrats to everyone for a successful 2016 season and see you again next time, two rides are already scheduled for Jan 2017. (Harlingen and Edinburg)

See you out there on the bike paths, be safe and keep riding. To all the riders who have participated in 2014 and 2015 and now 2016 rides, thanks for being there and keeping the sport of Randonneuring alive in South Texas. More fun will be had in the future.
